5 Days Mt. Kenya/L.Nakuru/Hell's Gate Walking safari / Cultural tour

Day 1: Nairobi/ Mt Kenya
Depart Nairobi, drive north to arrive at Mountain Rock Lodge for lunch
Afternoon challenging walk in search for the rare Abyssinian black and white Columbus monkeys (but when these are rare in isolation away from the sun, it is not easy to locate them), locate also the Bushbuck and the Sykes Monkey. It is a good chance to sight the rare bird species such as tropical boubou, tauny eagle, mousebirds and many more. Dinner and overnight at Mountain Rock Lodge

Day 2 Mt. Kenya
Talk of the Kenya's freedom fight and the freedom fighters who were known as Mau Mau. A 2-4 hours walk, visiting the Mau Mau Caves & waterfalls will put you in the picture: A guided walk through a well canopied nature trail in the Mt. Kenya forest to discover the Mau Mau hideouts which were used during the fight for Kenya's independence in the 1950s. Adequate information from naturalist/anthropologist with demonstrations of the medical applications of the plants and the survival strategies applied by the Mau Mau. Get to know what Mau Mau i.e. M, A, U x2 meant. All meals and overnight at Mountain Rock Lodge

Day 3: Mt. Kenya
Time for an eco-tourism initiative village walk. Visit local farms and villages and interact with the local farmers as they go about their routine work and be able to learn something about their way of life. They will equally be keen to learn a little bit about you. A large portion of the money paid for this excursion will be paid off to the local people for services and time they extend to us. Dinner and overnight at Mountain Rock Lodge.

Day 4: Mt. Kenya/L. Nakuru
After breakfast, leave Mt Kenya region for Lake Nakuru National Park and arrive in time for lunch. Lake Nakuru National Park is often described as the "World's Greatest Bird Spectacle.” Other wild animals such as the Rhino, Waterbuck, Impala, Buffalo, Giraffe, and Leopard can be seen in the surrounding gardens. Dinner and overnight at our exclusive campsite.

Day 5: L.Nakuru/Hell's Gate
After an early breakfast, depart for Naivasha Hell's Gate National Park.
Enjoy a full day guided walk in 'Hells Gate' and discover the 'hell' after going through the gate. Here we walk amongst herds of zebra, gazelle and giraffe with a dramatic volcanic backdrop of soaring lava cliffs, steaming volcanic vents and hot springs. It is a very interesting place and you will be amazed to see what creation surprises are still there for you! Lunch is picnic.

Late afternoon transfer to Nairobi
