5 Days Sirimon Route
Day 1
Depart from Nairobi in the morning to Naro Moru River Lodge, arriving
in time for lunch. Afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight at the
lodge.
Day 2
Morning drive to the Sirimon track for a 3-5 hours hike past the park
gate and the mountain forest to Old Moses.Night at Old Moses Camp
(3,400m).
Day 3
Hike via Mackinders Valley from Old Moses Camp to Shipton's Camp (6-
8 hours walk). It is true that on parts of Mount Kenya one can experience
summer and winter temperatures almost daily with temperatures ranging
from possibly -5C to 20C. Night at Shipton's Camp (4,200m).
Day 4
A very early morning ascent of Point Lenana (4,985m). From the top,
begin the very long hike back to the base camp and then proceed to
the Lodge for overnight.
Day 5
After breakfast transfer back to Nairobi or continue on safari
